Gaius Porcius Cato : ウィキペディア英語版
Gaius Porcius Cato
Gaius Porcius Cato (2nd century BC) was the son of Marcus Porcius Cato Licinianus. Gaius was elected as a consul in 114 BC and assigned to the province of Macedonia and campaigned unsuccessfully against the Scordisci. He was accused of extortion in Macedonia, and was sentenced to pay a fine. He sought refuge〔See discussion of the trial and legal status of Cato by Gordon P. Kelly, ''A History of Exile in the Roman Republic'' (Cambridge University Press, 2006), p. 171.〕 at Tarraco in Spain, and became a citizen of that town. This Gaius Porcius Cato was the father of Gaius Porcius Cato (tribune).
